THIS IS AN ORIGINAL LEAF WITH WOODCUT FROM 1499. SUPERB EARLY RENAISSANCE WOODCUT.

Superb woodcut in fine hand colour depicting the WITCHES TOWER with two unfortunates being tested by drowning.

Caspar Hochfelder came to Metz in 1499 this was one of his first works at that location.
No text to verso, although traces of earlier mountings.
