Album notes
Personnel: Josh Jenkins (vocals, acoustic guitar, piano); Joshua Wilkerson (electric guitar, background vocals); Jamey Ice (electric guitar); Geoff Ice (bass instrument, background vocals); Denton Hunker (drums, percussion). Texas band Green River Ordinance seems to draw its inspiration from the kind of mainstream pop-rock sounds that were established in the '90s by the likes of Tonic, Semisonic, Counting Crows, and Matchbox Twenty. Accordingly, most of the tunes on their major-label debut (they'd previously released an indie album and EP) sport industrial-size hooks, big, exploding choruses, and tight-as-a-drum production that centers around singer Josh Jenkins' emotive tones.
