A most impressive large format book of superb photographs by both award winning writer Angelopolous and celebrated photographer Verlin produced. This superb work, published in 1958, contains over 50 never before published pictures with text of the Indianopolis 500 auto race during the decade 1948 to 1958.

"The Race", photography by Bob Verlin and text by Angelo Angelopolous. It is a first edition 1958, METAL spiral bound hardcover with pictorial boards and original clear acetate dust wrapper and original pictorial slipcase. 10 1/2" x 14" X 1 1/4" thick with 70 pages that are very thick (light card).

The book is in excellent condition and unmarked apart from a small stamp to the first page with the original owner's name/address. The metal spiral is in nice shape and is not rusty and there is no wear to the pages or covers. It comes with it's original clear acetate dust wrapper complete with printed flaps that is in very nice with just a couple of small closed edge tears. It also has it's original pictorial slipcase that is complete but a little discoloured with damaged sides.

An oportunity to obtain a superb example of the rarer version of this desirable title. Offered at half the price listed for this title in the 1998 Car Book Value Guide.

Fixed proper packing and postage, US$12.00 within Australia and AIRMAIL anywhere else for US$50.50, but less for Surface Mail and for New Zealand. I shall happily combine lots to reduce postage costs. You can see from my feedback that I'm regarded as a careful packer and a prompt shipper etc.
