Recording information: 2002. This reissue of 2003's vinyl-only release THE TRICKLE DOWN THEORY OF LORD KNOWS WHAT finds the Sunburned Hand of the Man in peak form, which is to say, formless. Their freewheeling, shambolic approach--emphasizing inspiration over outcome--has no firm genre marker, but many reference points: old-timey Americana, Eastern raga, downtown jazz, and art noise. All five of the album's tracks were culled from a single day-long session in June of 2002.
