Made in France in the 1920's  this dining room table is built with a top flamed mahogany with a starburst inlay  , the base is  Ebonized Maple ( meaning stained wood so you can still see the grain) .Many time I have been ask for a round table , here it is .  The style is pure French Art Deco and was at the time one of the best quality available in the style of Rhulmann or LELEU .It is an early art deco design where you can still feel the neo classic influence of the late 18th . The 4 legs and the inlaid work are labor intensive so this table is most likely not a mass produced piece . Today it could be use as a desk  or  an entrance table  , it is possible to sit 8 to 12 persons if you decide to use the leaves's mecanism ( one more leaves need to be built , I can facilitate if desired) . It was  recently refinished so it is ready to grace your interior The attention to details and design indicate a good provenance , most likely the work of a designer 's studio .
