Available for auction is a black petticoat.  This is an ideal mourning petticoat, perfect to wear under a black or dark skirt or dress.  This petticoat is custom made, by me, not shipped from a sweatshop.  Please allow 7 days for construction prior to shipping.

 

Petticoat specifics:

  • Made of black broadcloth.
  • measures up to 47" long.
  • drawstring waistband up to 43".
  • 14" ruffle
  • 5 lengthening tucks - an authentic period technique.
  • all seams serged or salvedge.
  • shown on a 150" hoop, which is not included.
  • bottom of ruffle is serged for a finished edge.

My customers tell me my petticoats are too nice to hide under a gown or dress, and several have worn them as skirts.  This petticoat would look stunning with a starched white blouse!  Winning bidder please email with waist size and preferred length for petticoat.
