Album notes
Audio Mixer: Chris Lord-Alge. On 2008's A LITTLE BIT LONGER, the Jonas Brothers follow their self-titled breakthrough album with another set of lively, tween-friendly pop. Having achieved a level of massive popularity rivaling that of their Disney peer Miley Cyrus (HANNAH MONTANA), Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas are clearly energized by their success, resulting in a confident, highly accessible outing. The New Jersey-bred siblings shine brightest on the R&B-tinged "Burnin' Up," the urgent "One Man Show," and the charmingly spare "Lovebug," with the latter track, in particular, showcasing the lads' endearingly wholesome persona.
Editorial reviews
4 stars out of 5 -- They love the Beatles and Elvis Costello, and their zippy rock succeeds on good cheer....Think Chemical Romance with fewer issues... Blender
Opener 'BB Good' is the purest bubblegum of the lot, but still feels like bubblegum with some muscle to it... -- Grade: B+ Entertainment Weekly
Ranked #40 in Rolling Stone's 50 Best Albums Of 2008 -- [With] fuzzed-up pop-rock nuggets. Rolling Stone
4 stars out of 5 -- The boys' fantastic third album is steeped in the fuzzed-up guitars, three-part harmonies and cotton-candy choruses of Big Star and Cheap Trick. Rolling Stone
[T]he Jonases still chomp on their 4/4 pop-rock like a veteran band....Second single 'Love Bug' goes from a campfire strum-along to a Steven Tyler rock wailer to power-punk in less than five minutes. Billboard
