We have here a U.S. WORLD WAR II EMERGENCY ISSUE HAWAII OVERPRINT $5.00 1934A FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE.  This is the prized Brown Seal $5.00 bill from the opening days of the Second World War in the Pacific, a must for any collection.  It was issued only from 1942-44 for use in the war zone and is a very special note.  It was used in Hawaii and the Pacific with the brown seal to identify it from regular issue currency so it could be demonitized should it be caputed by the Japanese enemy. 

Book value for this FINE note is $75, but retailers and Shop at Home TV often charge up to $100 each (which is too much) just because they are so popular and they only used the brown seal this one time for war notes.  This note has some of the usual tropical stain(darkening) and light soiling, and no writing, no tears, no holes and no ink.  This war note shows folds and wrinkles.  It is somewhat crisp and fairly clean.   So I'd rate it at Fine, but you be the final judge with these photos which you can enlarge.  It's in great shape for a WWII vet!  This note is in better shape than many of the surviving war notes.  Unlike most notes, this is a war veteran and it shows that it really was a piece of history which adds to its value.
