THE BEATLES ‘I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND’ b/w ‘THIS BOY’ DECCA CONTRACT PRESSING 45.
The record was released on 29/11/1963 and due to the huge numbers of advance orders EMI contracted out the pressing of extra copies to ‘Decca’ & ‘Pye’. This I believe to be a 'Decca' pressing.
Matrix numbers are:
7XCE 17559-1N with an ‘8’ and the ‘KT’ tax code just above it at 9 o’clock.
7XCE 17560-1N with a ‘0’ and the ‘KT’ tax code just above it at 9 o’clock.
Released on Parlophone R 5084
This looks to have been rarely played, but there is a little very low background noise in the run in/out areas but once the tracks begin both sides play EX+.
Correct company sleeve grades as EX-.
Has a straight cut top and 6/- to 50/- Record Tokens ad on the back.
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW.
I dispatch records in brand new, bought in mailers designed for the process. Before placing in the mailer I take LPs/45s out of the sleeve place both in a polysleeve and between two card stiffeners and if there is a picture sleeve I place the LP/45 in a plain sleeve to prevent knifing of the picture sleeve. [all this costs £0.80/single or LP].
I WILL COMBINE ITEMS TO GIVE SHIPPING/HANDLING COST BASED DISCOUNTS. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BUYING MORE THAN ONE ITEM PLEASE E-MAIL FOR DETAILS.
I normally ship within 1/2 working days of receipt of payment but occasionally, due to work commitments, it can be up to 3 days.
I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.
(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.
(EX) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.
(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
(B) BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
