The Large Console Lookout is designed for pets up to 12 pounds. It enables them to ride up front with you, on the console between the front driver's bucket seat and the passenger seat. Strap comes with the the Lookout and is designed for use with a harness which is sold separately. See the Sure Fit Harnesses from Premier in my eBay store.

Designed for most oversized vehicles with a console at least 12" wide and 18" long.

It will normally allow small pets to see out the car window while kept safe with a harness and our connecting safety strap that connects the harness to the Console Lookout. It will boost the pet about 3 inches above the console. The Console Lookout is, in turn, secured to your front bucket seats by means of straps that hold it in place, keeping it from being thrown in cases of sudden stops or accidents.

In an auto acident a 60 pound dog in a car traveling 30 mph will hit an object 10 inches in front of him at 1,200 pounds per square inch. If you have ever slammed on your brakes and had your dog come flying forward, you understand how hazardous this can be for a dog or pet. Animal safety is a major concern in our country. There are at least 27 Statutes in 25 U.S. states that have laws protecting animals being transported unrestrained.

Installation instructions come with the Console Lookout, but it is similar in design to our regular Lookouts.

The Lookout Car Seats for pets by O'Donnell Industries are, by far, the safest on the market today. A solid foam form surrounds the dog and boosts him 8" allowing him to see out the window. A safety strap is provided to attach to the dog's harness keeping him confined to the seat. (note: NEVER attach safety strap to a neck collar. This could lead to a broken neck or strangulation)
