SOLID BRASS SPYGLASS with END CAP

This terrific 10x power, old-world-like pirate hand held telescope, measures 17-1/2" long x 1-1/2"" wide, and weighs about 11 ounces. Collapses to 6-1/2" in length and extends to 17-1/2". Removable brass lens cap protects the end lens from scratches, dust, salt and water. Also entire spyglass is lacquered to protect brass finish. Spyglasses as this were one of the essentials of seafaring life; introduced after Galileo's astronomical telescopes by the middle of the 18th century.
