LOT 36 VINTAGE BATES KNITTING NEEDLES DOUBLE POINT NIB

Up for auction is this estate find vintage lot of 36 Bates knitting needles. 9 packages of 4 knitting needles.    All unused and in their original plastic handy needle keeper case.  All are Susan Bates whisper smooth knitting needles. Made by C.J. Bates & Co, Chester, Conn. U.S.A. 

Retail value is much much higher at today's prices, and these are probably a better quality of the product then of today. 

Silvalume is aluminum.  Luxite appears to be a type of early plastic. All are double point and all come in sets of 4 to a package.

• 1 pkg of four 7" Silvamume, Size 5, 
• 1 pkg of four 10" Silvamume, Size 2, 
• 1 pkg of four 7" Silvamume, Size 3

• 1 pkg of four, 10", Luxite, Size 10 1/2
• 1 pkg of four 10" Luxite, Size 10
• 1 pkg. of four 10" Luxite, Size 9
