Payment

I send invoices at the end of the auction. If you are waiting on additional auctions to end within 7 days to combine payment and save on shipping and handling ($1.00 savings per card), please send a message through ebay and discard the first invoice. I do have to limit this time span to 7 days in order to assist my mad bookkeeping skillz... It really does help ensure I haven't missed your request for an invoice.

New Policies at ebay require sellers to accept payment only through PayPal. I do anticipate this is acceptable to you.

Shipping

Shipping is by US Postal Service First Class Mail. The USPS does a fine job on a daily basis and I pack carefully, but those machines have NO mercy. Seriously. I am not responsible for the condition it arrives at your mailing address so if you want recompense for USPS destruction, I highly recommend insurance. I am able to provide a revised invoice including insurance at your request.

Items are driven to the post office and either dropped in the blue box or handed to the post office representative (and these are nice people...I've gotten to know them well!).

3 1/2 x 5 1/2 Postcards are protected in a postcard sleeve and other items are also protected with plastic. A good-quality business size envelope is used for single and small lots of cards; a single postcard is always stiffened in some manner so it should arrive to you in the condition it left my hands. Larger numbers of postcards, such as multiple purchase of single postcards, are packed in sturdy envelopes with some means of protection. I will be happy to answer your questions about packaging and shipping.

Terms of Sale

Please read the descriptions carefully and ask all the questions you want in order to be comfortable buying the item. Make sure the payment terms, manner of shipping, and all other facets of the sale are acceptable to you.

A larger than normal image is included in each listing showing a detailed scan of the actual card. This additional and time-consuming step allows you an opportunity to inspect the card and make sure the quality meets your expectations. It shows flaws and condition issues better than I can describe! Describing quality is subjective, and although I try to be consistent the image is your ultimate clue to degree of wear.

I work hard for you to be excited both before and after opening the envelope holding your purchase. Only if you feel the item is not as described will we discuss returning it for the actual cost of the item. Shipping and Handling fees are not refundable.

About Me

The Postcard bug has BITTEN me - I am becoming more experienced and learning more and more every day.

I am finding a greater interest in history as time passes and enjoy the research I do for as many cards as possible. Every card has a history and finding that story keeps me coming back for more. This does take more time in writing the descriptions, but I think it adds so much more to make my listings unique.

I just know what I like...Collecting things is natural so turning loose isn't always easy, but I do enjoy writing the descriptions and sharing stories to help each of the items "find a new home." Knowing what I like also influences my pricing, so if it seems a little unusual to you, at least you know which cards I personally like best!
