Ireland 100 Years Ago--The Charm of Old Ireland, 130 illustrations, with dust jacket, excellent condition.  Replica of an illustrated travelogue, first published in 1888.  Oversized book.  Written by Richard Lovett, published by Bracken Books, 1995, 224 pages including Index.  Chapters include Ireland's Eye, The Garden of Ireland, The Valley of Boyne, From Dublin to Cork, Glengariff, Killarney and Valentia, The Shannon, Connemara, The Donegal Highlands, Belfast, Armagh and Londonderry, The Giant's Causeway and the Mourne Mountains.  Words and pictures evoke the pleasures of late 19th century travel through the countryside and towns of Ireland.  The book is arranged to present the reader with the impression of a journey through the country, stopping off to visit the sights and places of interest.  The itinerary follows the leisurely style of the Victorian traveler by steamer, train, carriage and foot.  See my other books about Ireland.  Payment by paypal.  Shipping discounts on multiple purchases.
