The Excelerator XLT's lightweight oval tube aluminum frame with chrome-moly steel fork features simple geometry for maximum stiffness and smooth cornering. The low seat and recumbent handcycle design enhances aerodynamics and the 15 degrees of camber increases stability. The tall, narrow back offers the maximum range of motion and increased power transfer. This extremely stable and maneuverable three-wheel handcycle is capable of speeds up to 20 m.p.h. • 6061 T-6 oval tube aluminum frame with a 4031 chrome-moly steel fork for strength and stiffness, powder coat paint.
• Adjustable crank height assembly, adjustable fore and aft seat position, multi-position, adjustable footrest system with safety straps.
• Adjustable tension seat upholstery, narrow tall padded back with adjustable height seat.
• Quick-release axles, high performance or cruiser/knobby spoked wheels, reflectors, parking brake and chest positioning strap.

Invacare Top End XLT Handcycle Features

• Frame: Single main tube, recumbent style with pivot steering and raked fork for controlled turning and stability. Road crown compensator connects frame and fork. This provides stablility when transferring into the handcycle and provides and easy and simple way to compensate for road crown. Adjustable fore/aft seat adjustments,footrest system, crank heights and transfer heights.
• Frame Tubing: 2.5" x .065 ovalized 6061 aluminum aircraft aluminum frame with 4130 chrome-moly fork assembly for strength and stiffness.
• Back Angle: Adjustable
• Seat Width: Available in widths of 14", 15", 16", 17" and 18"
• Footrest: Multi-adjustable fore/aft with safety straps. Optional leg guard attachment is recommended for persons without leg sensation.
• Wheels: Available with 26" performance wheels with high pressure tires, 24" cruiser wheels with cruiser tires or 24" off- road wheels with knobby tires. Quick release axles are standard and 1/2" threaded axles are optional. Optional thorn resistant tire protectors available. Cruiser tire and knobby tires use the same wheel and brake calipers so they can be easily interchanged. High pressure wheels and tires are not interchangeable with knobby or cruiser wheel/tires. • Camber Angle: 15 degree camber.
• Back Width: Narrow or wide back. Narrow back is determined by seat width minus 7". Wide back is the same width as the seat.
• Back Height: Tall narrow back is fixed at 20". Wide back is adjustable 11"-14".
• Power: Arm powered. The XLT handcycle propulsion system features an internal gearing system: Shimano Nexus 7 speed hub with reversing drum brake. Mountain drive option works like a transmission to "gear down" for climbing hills adding 7 low gears. Mountain Drive combined with the standard 7 speeds will essentially deliver 14 speeds. For external gearing see XLT PRO or XLT Gold models which have 27 speeds.
• Handle Style: Delrin or foam covered ergonomic handpedals standard. Optional Tri-pin quad handpedals, horizontal handpedals or quad cuff available. See product brochure for detailed photos of hand pedal options.
